Shelby County Community Theatre Auditions for The Little Mermaid

Auditions for Shelby County Community Theatre’s youth production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. will be held at the theatre on Monday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 24 at 6:00 p.m. Roles are available for children age 7-14. Auditions will consist of a prepared song, cold readings from the script, and a dance audition. Please prepare 16 measures of a Disney or Broadway song. Songs from the show are acceptable. An accompanist and a CD player will be provided, so please bring either sheet music or a CD. No a cappella auditions. Dress comfortably and wear closed-toed shoes for the dance audition. Performance dates are September 13-16 and 20-23. The musical is directed by Rebecca Leigh-Chaney Brewer.
