Guided Hike: Squire Boone Trail @ Lake Shelby
Sunday February 9, 2014
2:00pm
Learn the basics of winter tree identification while hiking the Squire Boone Trail. Kentucky Division of Forestry Ranger, Sara Johns, will discuss how to use bark, buds and branches, known as the 3 B’s, to identify trees minus their leaves. This is a great opportunity for scouts and other groups who want to create a bark rubbing journal. We will meet at the parking lot at the end of Don Cubert Rd near the Squire Boone trail at Lake Shelby on Sunday February 9 at 2 P.M. Dress for the weather and hiking. Water, snacks and bark rubbing materials provided.Sunday February 9, 2014
