Qualifications:

2. Is dependable, stable, and capable of committing to this position’s responsibilities
and duties.
3. Expresses a desire to reach at-risk clients considering abortion.
4. Believes in the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception through
natural death.
5. Has a sincere, mature faith and can disciple those they supervise.
6. Holds a current license in good standing with the state current registry and OB credentials.
7. Exhibits strong interpersonal, spiritual, and administrative skills, takes initiative,
and is flexible.
8. Has good eyesight or corrected vision, steady hands, and a good bedside manner.
9. Skilled with current technology and able to learn new skills quickly.
10. Completes NIFLA’s Institute of Limited Obstetric Ultrasound course and NIFLA’s PULSE Webinar designed for RDMS training supervisors.
Reports To: Executive director/CEO for operations and medical director for medical
services.
Supervises: All medical staff (As an RDMS clinic manager, she would only supervise clinical services related to ultrasound. An RDMS’s scope of practice would generally exclude them from performing STI testing and treatment in the clinic.)
Time Commitment: As per the hiring agreement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Management
1. Develops, maintains, reviews, and updates medical policies and procedures.
2. Maintains a working knowledge of nursing methods, principles, and practices
concerning the prevention and treatment of disease, safety and infection control,
clinical systems, supplies, and equipment.
3. Serves as a privacy officer and ensures compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA
guidelines.
4. Responsible for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
5. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining medical equipment and supplies, tracking expenses, and submitting monthly credit card report.
6. Keeps record of current medical licenses and certifications for staff members.
7. Conducts quarterly first aid supply checks and chart audits.
8. Annually reviews disaster plan and updates signatures in Medical Policy and Procedure Book.
10. Attends bi-weekly leadership meetings.
Client Care
1. Organizes, directs, supervises, and evaluates professional and ancillary personnel.
2. Oversees and provides client care services: assessing client needs and making nursing
judgments that reflect safe nursing practices.
3. Reinforces the humanity of the unborn child with the client.
4. Maintains accurate records, care plans, and follow-through on physician’s orders.
5. Assures accurate implementation of physicians’ orders and advises physicians
of clients’ progress and changes in condition.
6. Performs testing, examinations, and treatments according to directives of the medical
director.
7. Performs limited OB ultrasound under the direction of the medical director.
8. Provides education for the client to develop an understanding of their health
condition, including physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
9. Oversees client follow-up.
10. Able to share the gospel with clients and pray with them as appropriate.
Staff Development:
1. Recruit qualified medical team staff and volunteers to meet the clinic’s needs.
2. Oversees training and orientation of the medical team, staff, and volunteers.
3. Ensures that the trainee completes necessary forms and charting.
4. Supervises the hands-on training in limited OB ultrasound for medical staff (RN/RDMS), if experienced in skills assessments, performs assessments on trainees regarding their
competency in scanning. If not experienced in skills assessments, NIFLA recommends utilizing
the skills assessment services provided by Soundview Imaging.
5. Once trainees achieve competency, they recommend to the medical director that the trainee is ready to scan independently.
6. Provides continuing training and refreshers, including annual reassessment of competency of
RDMS/RN sonographers.
7. Grows in knowledge and skills competence for medical procedures performed.
8. Reinforces the humanity of the unborn child with the client.
9. Provides spiritual leadership to ensure the Godly mission of the organization.
10.Ensures that staff are up to date on online BloodBorne Pathogen Training.
11. Participates in establishing and conducting in-service meetings.
12. Conducts medical team conferences and discussions in evaluating the clinic’s
services, policies, procedures, and protocols.
13. Provides spiritual leadership to ensure the Godly mission of the organization.
14. Leads staff in group prayer and devotions as opportunities arise.
15. Organizes group BLS/CPR skills assessments as needed for staff once they have completed the online portion of renewal.
Public Relations:
1. Represents the clinic in the community as delegated by the executive director/CEO.
2. Attends medical conferences offering professional training and information pertinent
to the clinic’s practices.
Professional Development:
1. Maintains current RDMS registry and OB credentials.
2. Increases knowledge of health care management, obstetrical and gynecological care,
and women’s health issues.
3. Participates in annual skills advancement and assessment for competency in performing
ultrasounds and has documentation of original competency and maintenance of skills.
