Summary
SUMMARY
Responsible to supervise, direct and maintain efficient work flow of teller operations at designated branch location. Required to maintain individual teller drawer and perform various customer service functions. Plays an important part in developing a sales team atmosphere with all branch personnel with special emphasis on quality customer service and sales motivation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Creates and maintains a friendly and courteous atmosphere in the branch.
Greets all persons as they enter the branch in a friendly, courteous manner.
Works closely with all personnel in resolving customer problems and concerns.
Represents the bank in a sales oriented manner and promotes cross - selling of all bank products.
Exercises the usual authority of a supervisor concerning communication, performance, documentation, discipline, etc. Conducts annual performance appraisals.
Plans teller's work schedules and training new tellers.
Provides information and explanation of policies and procedural changes that effect the branch operations.
Proficient with Online Banking, Bill Pay, Mobile Deposit, and FXIM.
Assist with maintaining required vault cash, individual drawer limits and bait money in order to operate branch cash needs efficiently.
Requisitions and maintains supplies to efficiently operate branch and service customer needs.
Maintains a cash drawer daily and performs general teller functions.
Assists Tellers with researching cash drawer outages.
Assist with reviews of CTR’s and holds for accuracy prior to sending to assigned areas.
Responsible to verify that all branch work is run through remote scanner, batched and transmitted correctly and efficiently. (If applicable)
Attends monthly supervisor /banking center manager / customer service meetings and other training sessions as required.
Opens and closes deposit accounts when necessary and needed.
Oversees the branch security, assuring all security procedures are followed.
Assist with maintenance and balancing of on-site ATM and coin counter if applicable.
Completes on-line compliance training as required.
Completes four First Line of Defenses courses per year.
Receives credit card applications and submits them online for approval.
Must be available to accommodate the scheduled work hours which includes Monday – Saturday.
Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
1. Thorough knowledge of teller operations, policies and procedures with approximately one to three years teller experience.
2. Thorough knowledge of standard bank deposit products and services.
3. Ability to run branch on-line scanner and transmit work and train other tellers. (If applicable).
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and characteristics necessary to interact, communicate and relate to clients and bank personnel effectively.
5. Supervisory and training skills necessary to guide and direct and train teller staff.
6. Ability to exercise confidentiality and exercise good judgment in decision making.
7. Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
8. Willing to work at any assigned location.
9. A positive attitude and team building skills are a necessity.
10. Ability to be a leader and mentor to the Teller staff.
11. Must be available to work on Saturday.
