This will be an event that will target the Latino/Hispanic community, but everyone is welcome to attend. Shelby Prevention wants to spark awareness of not only resources but a variety of agencies that are available in Shelby County. We are inviting as many agencies as possible, to not only set up a booth, but also try and bring literature in both English and in Spanish. It's OK if you don't have any! Volunteers will be available to help interpret as needed for your booth.
There will be a small registration cost for booths in a form of a donation. Shelby Prevention is asking that you donate items that will be used for food, snacks, flavored water, and bottled water for participants at "Fiesta!" We will be giving away Pinatas, Gift Cards, and other prizes during the event. There will be a Latino DJ playing some good Latin Music. We know, that with your help, this event will be entertaining and educational for both youth and adults.
Local restaurants have offered to help prepare some of the food, donate some, and help us with the cutting of the veggies and fruit to be used at "Fiesta!" We will have volunteers help serve at the food and drink booths.
A list will be attached of items needed. We would like everything in by Wednesday, June 15th, but no later than Thursday, June 16, 2016. We look forward to seeing you at "Fiesta!" Thank You for helping Shelby Prevention make a difference !!!
