Extension Master Gardener classes for winter/spring 2016 are forming now. If you are interested in becoming a Master Gardener, call 633-4593 no later than Friday, January 8 to get your name on the list. Classes will begin January 27 and run through April. An information session will be held on Wednesday, January 13 at 6:30 p.m. In 2015 Shelby County Master Gardeners will have spent more than 2,500 hours of horticulture-related service to the community: *Planted a butterfly garden at Clear Creek Elementary *Maintained planters on Main and Washington streets *Maintained the Tim McClure Botanical Gardens at Clear Creek Park *Helped care for the "natural" garden at Red Orchard Park *Put on the garden fair *Designed a memorial garden at Shelby County High School *Designed landscaping at the former Blue Gables on Main Street *Planted landscaping at Habitat for Humanity house *Judged flower entries at the Shelby County Fair
