Join us Wednesday, May 25 at 6:30 p.m. for Cattle Handling & Care Certification training. This program focuses on the need to properly and humanely handle cattle, both as good animal health stewards and as profitable producers. By completing this training and certification process, you are affirming your commitment to your cattle and to the beef industry. Participants can also receive/renew their BQA certification by completing this course and a supplemental quiz. The course covers topics including: Genetic Influences on Handling and Care, Proper Handling Techniques, Proper Nutrition, Best Management Practices, Disorders, Management in Weather Extremes and Proper Euthanasia Techniques. Upon completion of the course and exam, participants will receive a farm gate sign to indicate that they are Cattle Handling and Care Certified.
