Shelby County will host the North Central KY session of the Bull Value Assessment Program on Tuesdays, October 23 and 30. This program will help producers determine the best bull for their individual operations. Attendance at both sessions is required, with the first session to include topics such as Understanding and Utilizing EPDs, Matching Genetics to Your Management and Environment, Bull Breeding Soundness Exams, Proper Bull Nutrition and Health, Tools for Selection and Selection Decisions for Different Marketing Options. The second session will include a mock auction and Evaluating Bull Purchases. Both sessions will begin at 6 p.m. at the Extension Office. Dinner is included with the $25 registration fee and pre-registration is required.
