FEBRUARY 11, 2017 1pm - 3pm
On February 11, 2017, Clear Creek Trailblazer, Joan Brown, will give an overview of the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) from 1pm until 3pm. GBBC is an annual four-day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds in their own backyards to create a realtime snapshot of bird populations. This year's event will be held during February 17th through 20th. Participants are asked to count birds for as little as 15 minutes (or as long as they wish) on one or more days of the event and report their sightings online at www.birdcount.org. Anyone can take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count, from beginning bird watchers to experts. Free to public. For more information contact us at: trailblazers@shelbycountyparks.com & facebook.com/clearcreektrailblazers or 502-321-1336.
