By attracting these birds\, birders can enjoy a backyard flock while also enjoying the migrants they might not see at other times.  Attracting birds is as easy as meeting their three primary needs of food\, water and shelter.  On Saturday September 28 from 2 pm until 3 pm\, retired Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources educator\, Joan Brown\, will share her knowledge about bird identification\, feeding and what it takes to create your very own backyard habitat.  She'll also provide details about how to participate in upcoming bird counts that the whole family will enjoy.
