DESCRIPTION:Extension Homemakers is the largest educational organization of women in Kentucky. Members enjoy updates on subjects of interest\, educational programs\, county-wide events\, trips and new friendships. Shelby County has five traditional and seven specialty Homemaker Clubs that meet monthly\, to include cubs such as knitting\, crochet\, quilting\, embroidery\, cooking and a book club. The annual membership cost to be a Shelby County Extension Homemaker is only $7 with an optional $1 to support the Ovarian Cancer Screening Research Project. Some individual clubs may have additional club dues. For more information about joining a Homemaker Club\, starting a new Homemaker Club in your neighborhood or becoming a member-at-large\, please call your Shelby County Extension Office at 633-4593.
