SUMMARY:Cultural Competency Progrram "Walk One Hour In My Shoes"
DESCRIPTION:Shelby County Cooperative Extension will be hosting a Cultural Competency Program on August 31st from 8am to Noon.  Ths program will introduce participants to Hispanic and Latino culture and beliefs\, assess how our own culture influences our beliefs\, values and attitudes and demonstrate how we can apply our knowledge to work more effectively with Hispanic and Latino populations.  The interactive program is titled "Camina Uno Hora En Mis Zapatos...Walk One Hour In My Shoes." \n\n	There is a 40 person limit for the class\, so participants need to call the office to register.  (No previous work or experience with the Hispanic culture is necessary.  The class will be taught in English.
